Il Comune di Guardistallo ed il suo Sindaco Sandro Ceccarelli sono lieti di annunciare a tutta la comunità che il Comune ha vinto il primo progetto europeo finanziato totalmente dalla Commissione Europea!
Il progetto è un Town Twinning, ovvero un gemellaggio europeo, tra quattro cittadine europee: Guardistallo (Italia), Benaguasil (Spagna), Coruche (Portogallo), Jagodnjak (Croazia).
Dopo due anni difficili legati alla pandemia Covid e dalla Guerra in Ucraina, Guardistallo aprirà le porte all'Europa in un grande evento a fine settembre 2022.

The Municipality of Guardistallo and its Mayor Sandro Ceccarelli are pleased to announce to the whole community that the Municipality has won the first European project funded entirely by the European Commission!
The project is a Town Twinning amoung four European towns: Guardistallo (Italy), Benaguasil (Spain), Coruche (Portugal), Jagodnjak (Croatia).
After two difficult years due to the Covid pandemic and the war in Ukraine, Guardistallo will open its doors to Europe in a major event at the end of September 2022.

Abbiamo deciso di dare come nome a questo progetto "rEU-discovery", ovvero la "riscoperta dell'Unione Europea", con l'obiettivo di far conoscere ai più giovani tutte le possibilità che l'Unione Europea dà loro in materia di studio, lavoro, e scambi culturali, e la gioia di poter condividere bei momenti con i loro coetanei di altri paesi.
Per questo motivo le attività del progetto si concentreranno su di loro, il futuro di tutti noi e del Comune di Guardistallo.

We decided to name this project "rEU-discovery", meaning the "rediscovery of the European Union", in order to make youth aware of the whole possibilities that the European Union gives them in terms of study, work, and cultural exchanges, and the joy of being able to share good times with their peers from other countries.
For this reason the project activities will focus on them, the future of all of us and of the Municipality of Guardistallo.
Ma chi paga il progetto?
Il progetto è interamente finanziato dalla Commissione Europea!
Ogni anno l'Unione Europea finanzia progetti che riguardano tutti i Comuni all'interno dell'Unione con l'obiettivo di favorire cooperazione duratura, scambi culturali e linguistici tra le comunità, attività artistiche e musicali, e molte altrè azioni.
Il Comune con il suo Sindaco ha deciso di intraprendere un progetto di apertura verso l'esterno di Guardistallo, con l'obiettivo di stabilire lunghe e durature amicizie con fratelli europei che porteranno alla comunità vantaggi dal punto di vista culturale, turistico, e di opportunità di studio e di lavoro.

But who pays for the project?
The project is fully funded by the European Commission!
Every year the European Union finances projects for the whole Municipalities within the Union with the aim of promoting long cooperation, cultural and linguistic exchanges among communities, artistic and musical activities, and many other actions.
The Municipality and its Mayor decided to undertake a project to open Guardistallo towards the outside, with the aim of establishing long-standing friendships with European brothers; and this will bring the community advantages in the sector of culture and tourism, and opportunities in terms of studying and working.
